The 17th Street Causeway Alliance 2010-2011 Board of Directors election will be held at the March 24th meeting and nominations for Board seats are now open.
Alliance members who would like to become a member of the Board must submit their Candidate Nomination Application no later than 5:00PM Friday, March 5th to the 17th Street Causeway Alliance Steering Committee. Candidates placed upon the ballot for election will be invited to make a 2-minute presentation the March meeting prior to the membership voting. Our first two members of the new Board representing the seats allotted to the 17th Street Commerical Property Owners Association were named just to the Feb. 24th meeting and we're very pleased to welcome Mr. Jim McCulla from The Harbor Shops and Mr. Robert Roschman from The Boathouse to the 2010-2011 Board of Directors. Alternates for those two seats were also named, Mr. Jack Loos of First Lauderdale Investments, and Mr. Brian Smith of The Boathouse.
In all, a total of 11 Directors will serve on the 2010-2011 Board of the 17th Street Causeway Alliance, representing the spectrum of interests on the corridor, including property owners, retail businesses, restaurants, hotels, the yachting/marine industry, the port community and other 'at-large' members.
